Hmm.... not really sure what to blog about, in all honesty. I know this is supposed to be "once a day blog", but what if there's nothing to blog about on a specific day?! I honestly don't know what I'm supposed to do then. There's no point in writing about something if I don't think that it's worth writing about, right? Right.
Anyway, this is probably going to be a big ramble, as per usual, filled with poor sentence structure, too many commas, run-on sentences, and pathetic paragraph structure. Since, you know, that is apparently my writing style. Whatever.
So.... it is Saturday, the end of another week. I honestly have no idea where this past year has gone. It's already halfway through September! Only another 3.5 months until the first decade of this millennium is over. Jeepers. I've found myself wishing a lot lately that time would slow down, so I would have time to "stop and smell the roses". I feel like my life is moving way too quickly for me, and if you know me you know that I don't like quickly moving things at all. I don't like change. I like being able to cherish memories, especially have time to create them. And while I AM making memories, and I definitely have cherished memories from the past couple of years, I still feel like my life is moving way too quickly and before I know it, I'll be old, gray, and bent over with age and I won't know how I got there. I'm scared of growing old.... I haven't really been thinking about that, but it's definitely been on the back of my mind.
Another thing I've been thinking about has kind of been more in my face. =/ I do enjoy homeschooling-- I like being free to do what I want when I want; I like being able to not have to wear a uniform; I like being able to wake up late, though it's probably not best for me... One thing I don't like is how my mom is so controlling and rigid about my schedule. I understand that I'm in school, and yes, when I was at school I had class for 4.5 hours, but I hate that I HAVE to do 4 hrs/day, and if I miss an afternoon or morning because I have work or if I have a dentist appointment or something, I have to make it up. Like now. Yesterday, my mom had to take her iMac up to the Tech support store or whatever in Iowa City, because it crashed, and I didn't want her to have to go up by herself on her birthday, so I went with her. We had fun, and I got some bread and a new pair of Chucks, which are FANTASTIC and I love them dearly, but I hate that I have to make up the afternoon I lost today. I don't want to be doing schoolwork right now. I KNOW that if I went to school, I would probably be doing homework right now, but that's besides the point. The point is is that I don't feel like I should have to make up the time I missed because I was doing something else. Whatever. I'm just being a difficult teenager, as per usual.
So.... I'm trying to think of other stuff that is worth mentioning. My new Chucks are fantastic. They're black with rainbow stars on the black part, gray with green numbers, and pink with red-ish pink flowers. :) My latest dailybooth picture shows them off better than I could ever describe them as. ^_^ I also switched over to Gmail from Hotmail last night, and I'm super happy about it. Gmail is more organized than Hotmail, and I really like the labels feature, seeing as how at least half of my inbox is from social networking sites. The labels make it a TON easier to see where all my emails are from. :) As this picture shows, my inbox is very colorful. And yes, before you ask, that IS an email from December 20th, 2008, saying that Alex Carpenter confirmed me as a friend on facebook, and yes, I have not opened it yet, and yes I'm not planning on deleting it any time soon. I'm a fangirl. Sue me. :P
I think in another blog post, maybe one later today, I'll give out all my stalker information (aka facebook, twitter, youtube, dailybooth etc.)
Okay, I think that's all for now. Whew. This was a long post. sorry! :)
Keep each other safe, keep faith.

Work, Charlie the Australian German and Geekgasms.
Err... sorry about the font of the last post being all funky. I c/p-ed from Word and blogspot didn't like the formatting so it decided to make all of it different fonts. Cool beans.
Anyway...
YESTERDAY. WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 9TH HAPPENED.
Yesterday was 9/9/09 aka the day that Beatles Rock Band (I automatically typed "wrock" instead of "rock". *facepalm* Maybe I need to listen to less wizrock.... *gasp*) was released, and also the day (was it yesterday or Tuesday? *stupid*) that Apple released the new iPods/iTunes. I had complete and total geekgasms over the new iPods/iTunes. The new iTunes is shiny, and I like it so far, though I haven't had time to really poke around and play with it yet, because I downloaded it last night right before I went to bed, and I tried to open it, but apparently you need the latest version of Quicktime to use the latest version of iTunes (which I didn't), so I couldn't use it yet. *sigh* Strangely enough, when I woke up this morning (45 minutes late... not good), iTunes functioned fine so I don't know what its problem was. Hmm..... But I digress. From the amount of time I've had to use it so far, I like the new iTunes. I'm looking forward to having more time to poke around it later. =]

Apple released the shuffles (they're smaller than a KEY; I don't want something I could technically swallow, kthx) in more colors, and I don't know about the capacity; I didn't really look at them. They didn't release a new "Classic" (I don't think), but they DID release a new Nano and new iPod Touch. I, like everybody else, had read the rumors of the new Touches FINALLY having a built-in camera, but alas, that went to the new Nano instead. I, personally, would much prefer this feature on the iPod touch, because I want one, but oh well. I'll wait until it has a built-in camera and get one with the Mac when my computer dies. *sigh* I tweeted this last night when I found out about the Nanos getting the camera: "... why do the new iPod nanos shoot video, but the new iPod touches don't? D: #applefailssometimes."That's still my feeling. I'm still an Apple fangirl, but I still wish the Touches had cameras instead of the Nanos. >.< Even though the Touches didn't get the cameras, they DID get a faster processor speed, which is exciting. :) The 32GB cost $299, which isn't too bad at all.... my 30GB video iPod (I think it's a 5.5 Gen) cost $250, so it's not that much more per GB. ... I think. I haven't done the math yet. Okay, I just did the math, and for the Touch, it's about $9.35/GB, and for my iPod, it's $8.33/GB, so it's only about a dollar more per gig. That's not bad, right? So yeah. That's my geekgasm.
On to less exciting things that happened yesterday. In the morning, I did math, as per usual, and I took my first math test. I got a 70 on it, which I guess isn't failing, but it still feel likes I failed it. Meh. Then I went to work, where I had a pleasant surprise. No, the surprise isn't the afternoon actually being BUSY for once. That would be too much to handle. The surprise is that I got to meet the new manager, 'cause he was in for training, and I really liked him. :) His name is Charlie, and according to my mom, he's German, but he definitely talks like an Australian. It's so funny. He's now Charlie the German Australian in my mind. Haha. He's cute too, which is always a plus. ;) He's got dirty blond-ish hair and nerdy glasses and I just love him (not like that :P). He's so adorable, haha. Meeting Charlie was probably the only exciting thing that happened during work. It was as slow as usual.... Lisa had me breaking down boxes for the last hour or so of my shift, and then she told me that since we had enough people and stuff, I could leave then if I wanted to! And I definitely did, haha.
So I got off work half an hour early, and went down to the Field House to watch Avery's first volleyball game of the season, which her team won. I was pretty proud of her, haha. :)
So.... I think that's all that happened yesterday. I'll blog for today later today, methinks. - Joella

Intro~
As the header says, this blog is gonna be like OneADay men's, but better. (I just typed "butter" instead of "better". It's late.)
This is going to be a blog where I HOPEFULLY blog once every day, about my day or something I wrote, just so I get back in the habit of writing.
I don't know if anybody will read this, and honestly, I don't care if people do, because this blog is mainly for me. If people DO happen to read what I write, leave comments because I like them. :D
