Err... sorry about the font of the last post being all funky. I c/p-ed from Word and blogspot didn't like the formatting so it decided to make all of it different fonts. Cool beans.
Anyway...
YESTERDAY. WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 9TH HAPPENED.
Yesterday was 9/9/09 aka the day that Beatles Rock Band (I automatically typed "wrock" instead of "rock". *facepalm* Maybe I need to listen to less wizrock.... *gasp*) was released, and also the day (was it yesterday or Tuesday? *stupid*) that Apple released the new iPods/iTunes. I had complete and total geekgasms over the new iPods/iTunes. The new iTunes is shiny, and I like it so far, though I haven't had time to really poke around and play with it yet, because I downloaded it last night right before I went to bed, and I tried to open it, but apparently you need the latest version of Quicktime to use the latest version of iTunes (which I didn't), so I couldn't use it yet. *sigh* Strangely enough, when I woke up this morning (45 minutes late... not good), iTunes functioned fine so I don't know what its problem was. Hmm..... But I digress. From the amount of time I've had to use it so far, I like the new iTunes. I'm looking forward to having more time to poke around it later. =]
Apple released the shuffles (they're smaller than a KEY; I don't want something I could technically swallow, kthx) in more colors, and I don't know about the capacity; I didn't really look at them. They didn't release a new "Classic" (I don't think), but they DID release a new Nano and new iPod Touch. I, like everybody else, had read the rumors of the new Touches FINALLY having a built-in camera, but alas, that went to the new Nano instead. I, personally, would much prefer this feature on the iPod touch, because I want one, but oh well. I'll wait until it has a built-in camera and get one with the Mac when my computer dies. *sigh* I tweeted this last night when I found out about the Nanos getting the camera: "... why do the new iPod nanos shoot video, but the new iPod touches don't? D: ."That's still my feeling. I'm still an Apple fangirl, but I still wish the Touches had cameras instead of the Nanos. >.< Even though the Touches didn't get the cameras, they DID get a faster processor speed, which is exciting. :) The 32GB cost $299, which isn't too bad at all.... my 30GB video iPod (I think it's a 5.5 Gen) cost $250, so it's not that much more per GB. ... I think. I haven't done the math yet. Okay, I just did the math, and for the Touch, it's about $9.35/GB, and for my iPod, it's $8.33/GB, so it's only about a dollar more per gig. That's not bad, right? So yeah. That's my geekgasm.
On to less exciting things that happened yesterday. In the morning, I did math, as per usual, and I took my first math test. I got a 70 on it, which I guess isn't failing, but it still feel likes I failed it. Meh. Then I went to work, where I had a pleasant surprise. No, the surprise isn't the afternoon actually being BUSY for once. That would be too much to handle. The surprise is that I got to meet the new manager, 'cause he was in for training, and I really liked him. :) His name is Charlie, and according to my mom, he's German, but he definitely talks like an Australian. It's so funny. He's now Charlie the German Australian in my mind. Haha. He's cute too, which is always a plus. ;) He's got dirty blond-ish hair and nerdy glasses and I just love him (not like that :P). He's so adorable, haha. Meeting Charlie was probably the only exciting thing that happened during work. It was as slow as usual.... Lisa had me breaking down boxes for the last hour or so of my shift, and then she told me that since we had enough people and stuff, I could leave then if I wanted to! And I definitely did, haha.
So I got off work half an hour early, and went down to the Field House to watch Avery's first volleyball game of the season, which her team won. I was pretty proud of her, haha. :)
So.... I think that's all that happened yesterday. I'll blog for today later today, methinks. - Joella
